About Us

THE BRAND
Foshu is a ready-to-wear brand designed from the body outward.
Each garment begins as a dialogue - between structure and instinct, material and skin. The silhouette is never imposed; it emerges from movement, from how fabric falls, stretches, resists, or yields. Lines frame rather than constrain. Diagonals elongate. Proportion shifts presence without demanding attention.
Nothing is ornamental. Print is not surface decoration but a structural element - directing perception, shaping rhythm, interacting with cut. When print is removed, structure remains: tension, gravity, asymmetry, balance.
Color often marks the beginning. Controlled tonal worlds guide composition, allowing depth and contrast to inform construction. Each piece evolves through refinement, not reinvention.
Fabrics are carefully sourced and printed in Italy, in specialised facilities in Prato, where precision and colour depth are integral to the process. Material is inseparable from form; a garment must feel as considered as it looks.
Each design is produced in limited quantities, preserving intention and individuality.
Foshu creates garments that hold presence without noise - bold yet restrained, expressive yet controlled. Clothes that collaborate with the body, allowing the wearer to feel confident, precise, and fully herself.

THE DESIGNER
Sapir Shur is the designer and founder of Foshu.
In 2016, she moved to Milan to study Fashion Design at Istituto Marangoni, where she deepened her understanding of construction, proportion and material discipline. After graduating, she joined ANTONIO BERARDI as an intern and later as a junior designer, gaining first-hand experience in high-level craftsmanship and Italian textile culture.
Her visual language began long before fashion. From a young age, she painted, developing a sensitivity to colour, composition and tonal control that continues to inform her work. For Sapir, fashion and art are inseparable; print is never an afterthought but an extension of structure.
Designing as a woman for women, she carries an embodied awareness into every decision - understanding where the body seeks support, where it requires freedom, where softness empowers, and where precision sharpens presence.
Through Foshu, she builds a refined yet instinctive design language, moving between fluidity and structure, intuition and system. Her work evolves through subtle shifts, controlled tension, and an ongoing dialogue between material and form.
